I strongly believe that being a pediatric dentist requires patience, compassion, and the tenacity for excellence. Therefore, I strive to engage the children, listen to their concerns, and reassure them as needed.
I am a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and have been practicing dentistry since 2000. Originally from Maryland, I received both my Bachelor of Science degree and my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland, where I received a Certificate of Merit from the American Society of Dentistry for Children in 2000. After dental school, I moved to Pittsburgh, PA and worked as a general dentist for two years. Following my passion to work with children, I completed my pediatric dental residency at the prestigious Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. There, I was named Chief Pediatric Dental Resident and received a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the Northwestern University Medical School in 2004.
After completing my training in Chicago, I moved to Charlotte, NC and worked as a pediatric dentist in a practice that treated the underserved community of Gaston County for nearly seven years.
I continue to participate in numerous continuing education courses yearly to maintain the highest level of knowledge and skills available in the field of pediatric dentistry. I currently hold a Maryland State Specialty Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and am a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a national distinction achieved by very few pediatric dentists. I am a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, Maryland Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Maryland State Dental Society, and the Howard County Dental Society.
In 2012, my husband and I decided to move back to the area with our two boys to be closer to family and to serve the communities in which we grew up. In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering at the elementary school, cooking healthy food, watching movies, dancing, and spending time with my family and friends.
We have brought our two daughters to Drs. Ensor, Johnson, and Lewis from the very beginning. (They have always seen Dr. Lewis, who is outstanding.) Our girls, now 5 and 7, absolutely adore Dr. Lewis and the rest of the staff. I can’t say enough good things about this practice; the facility is gorgeous, the friendly staff genuinely loves children, and the reminder emails and texts sent from the front office are extremely helpful. In fact, my husband and I like the practice so much, we recently decided to become patients ourselves! (We used to go to a different practice just for adults, but now we, too, go to EJL) It’s very convenient for our entire family to go to one practice! In short, we could not be happier. Best dentists we’ve ever been to!
We rave about our orthodontist, Dr. Johnson. Three members of our family are currently his patients (mom and 2 kids) and we could not be happier. His personal attention to each patient (including calling on evenings and weekends after installing a new device just to make sure everything is ok) shows his genuine concern for his patients. Everyone there, from the office staff, to Cara (the billing wiz), to the techs — everyone is delightful to deal with. Not to mention that Dr. Johnson’s work is amazing. Highly recommend!
Dr. Weber is an extraordinary dentist! She is excellent at communication, putting the patient at ease and thorough. I had a huge fear of dentists from bad childhood experiences and her manner and professionalism has set me at ease. Now my whole family sees her!
Thank you for the tender services and above-and-beyond kindness that you show Ryan at every visit. Your practice’s willingness to embrace children living with disabilities and tend to their needs while allaying their fears is exceptional. We can’t thank you enough for all you do for Ryan and our family.
We can’t say enough good things about this practice. Dr. Ensor is a consummate professional– warm and caring with the kids, and clear and reassuring with the parents. Dr. Johnson is a hit with all the kids (and parents!), makes them feel comfortable, and explains things clearly. The staff are equally helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this practice. Have been going there for 10 years. After a tour of the facility we were escorted to the kids area where the kids had a blast playing with the toys. It was great that they allowed brother and sister to interact and support each other through the cleaning. As my son has a lot of anxiety and difficult behavior they were super patient and amazingly good with him!
Both, my husband and I loved brining our kids to Drs Ensor, Johnson and Lewis’ office. Everyone was very patient with our kids and explained every step to them, making them feel at ease. They let us stay with our children the entire time, and justified the procedures. In addition, they have a big play room and kids leave with a goodie bag feeling like they left a birthday party. We are very thankful.
My son actually didn’t want to leave! Since my son has special needs it has been really hard to find a dentist that understands his special needs and how to take that into account when providing services. Dr. Lewis, was great with him! Not only did you have a wonderful and productive dental visit he didn’t want to leave! My kids have been seeing Dr. Ensor since they were 2yrs old. They are 15,16, 17 now. Dr. Ensor is wonderful, knows my children, is quiet and calm, and goes above and beyond. Yesterday my middle daughter met with Dr. Jessica Weber for a crown. Again, FANTASTIC!!!!! Front desk staff is efficient and warm, hygienists are top-notch. The office itself is modern, spacious and bright. We travel from Frederick to Bethesda to see these wonderful Drs.
My son has been a patient of Dr. Ensor’s since his very first dental appointment and he is now 12. She is an excellent dentist with a very gentle and calm demeanor. I recommend her highly! The dental practice is very attentive to children’s comfort, so if a child needs sunglasses to block the overhead light, or a little extra time to relax they adjust their approach to be sure children receive appropriate care and have a positive experience. I love Dr. Ensor! We also see the orthodontist, Dr. Johnson. He is so gentle, funny and nice that children of all ages really respond well to him. It is great to be able to make appointments to see both the orthodontist and the dentist on the same days and receive coordinated care. I highly recommend Dr. Johnson and Dr. Ensor.
Dr. Doshi’s bedside manner is incredible. She had my 5 year old smiling and laughing while he got two crowns and was in the chair. How many dentists sing to their patients to keep them calm? She is wonderful!!
