We Have So Much To Be Thankful For

Staff | November 2020

A Happy Thanksgiving posterSince Thanksgiving is the perfect time to say "Thank you", the EJL Dental Team would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who persevered and stuck with us through this year of unprecedented change, challenges,  and adjustments.

We are thankful to our loyal team members and patients for adjusting so well to our new normal.  The success of our efforts to keep a safe environment for our patients is entirely due to the cooperation of our patients and our staff. Additionally, we are grateful for all the positive feedback that we have received regarding our adherence to Covid-19 safety measures and practices as we worked earnestly to serve our patients.

During this time of gratitude, our thoughts turn with warm appreciation to Betty, who was, in many ways, the heartbeat of our practice.  Our receptionist for over 50 years, Betty passed away earlier this year. We fondly remember her as the type of person who always wore a smile and had a kind, reassuring word for everyone.  She was almost always able to recognize patients and be able to greet them by name the moment they walked in the front door.

In 2014, when Betty went to part-time at EJL Dental, many patients that came in would ask to see her at every visit. She continued to work with us up until the quarantine began in the spring. We will miss her more than words can express, and we will continue to honor her memory by striving to provide the most personalized, kind, and gentle care to all our patient families.

During this difficult time, our team continues to add to try to give back and make a difference in our communities.  To this end, we have donated as an office and individually, to local food banks. With all the worries many families have these days, we do not want anyone to have the stress of putting food on the table, so we are doing our part to help those in need.

Finally, we are sincerely thankful to our educators, grocery workers, postal workers, public transportation drivers, health care workers, caregivers, mental health care workers, and all other essential workers who have been putting their health behind the health of those they serve.

All in all, we extend the warmest Thanksgiving wishes to everyone. May your home be filled with family, love, great food, and beautiful memories! Happy Thanksgiving!
